About This Cause
CDTC is the national non profit partner working to protect, complete and provide volunteer stewardship of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail in the following ways: 1) Protect and promote the CDT's nationally significant scenic, historic, natural and cultural features 2) Implement volunteer stewardship projects to maintain and complete the Trail 3) Create welcoming and equitable resources and opportunities for ALL people to experience the CDT 4) Encourage people to experience the CDT while promoting safe and responsible use. 5) Support the communities and partners along the Trail corridor to implement place-based conservation initiatives 6) Work collaboratively with land managers and stakeholders along the CDT to efficiently manage the values, features and experiences critical to the Trail Experience and its surrounding lands. CDTC operates annual volunteer construction programs, works with local communities to become designated partners with CDTC, and serves as the primary resource for Trail users. CDTC also works with land management agencies to secure protect the CDT Corridor through agency planning efforts, land protection efforts and working with Congressional representatives. CDTC is a small grassroots organization that believes in providing the American Public a voice in the management of the CDT.
