Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide scholastic, spiritual and social supports to families mired in generational poverty. We offer holistic program services that build happy healthy communities. LHCC was established to serve our immigrant neighbors and break generational poverty among marginal children and families, by empowering the next generation to stay in school and become successful for life. Our value proposition is that we live among the people we serve. We exist to be service providers and neighbors to our resident-base to build lasting relationships with our families, partners, volunteers and communities.

About This Cause

We serve the Diaspora of low-income apartment residents and their children with holistic program services which build happy healthy communities in the South Blvd community. Our target audience is characterized by high density immigrant and refugee population groups. We serve anyone, without bias or discrimination and our services are offered at no cost to the marginalized children and the families we serve. Learning Help Centers of Charlotte nurtures relationships with low-income underserved communities to deliver the following holistic program services at no cost - Weekly after-school homework , tutoring and literacy support program pre-K to 8, predominantly - Weekly feeding and nutritional meal programs - Annual summer literacy enrichment camps, - Year round sports and creative arts events, - Health assessments and wellness plans - Mentoring and counseling - Family stabilization and crisis assistance services, and - Family enrichment programs.
