One True Light, Inc. mobilizes the Duncan, OK community to improve the physical, social and emotional status of at-risk children.
About This Cause
One True Light, Inc. administers two programs: Link ONE Mentoring is an in-school mentoring initiative, placing caring, consistent adults within Duncan Public Schools. Mentors meet with students weekly, providing positive role models and guidance aimed at improving educational and life outcomes. Link ONE currently has trained volunteer mentors meeting with students on all Duncan Public School campuses. Summer Food and Fun Program provides free lunch for children ages 0 - 18 during the time students are away from school for summer vacation. Our organization coordinates a large number of volunteers who prepare and deliver these meals to grab-and-go and stay and play sites. This program is helping to fight hunger in our hometown by bridging the gap for hungry kids during the summer.
