Mission Statement
The Caleb Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization licensed in the United States and Ethiopia since July 2012, is driven by a profound commitment to transforming lives and fostering hope by addressing the multifaceted roots of poverty and empowering individuals to discover and live their purpose. We believe in creating sustainable change through targeted, holistic programs that uplift vulnerable communities both domestically and internationally. In Ethiopia, our mission is to break the cycle of poverty by providing comprehensive support to marginalized populations. We deliver vital services, including early childhood education to lay a strong foundation for future success, nutritional assistance to combat hunger and promote health, access to technology to bridge the digital divide and expand opportunities, and entrepreneurial training to empower individuals and families to achieve economic self-sufficiency. We strive to create a nurturing environment where individuals can thrive and contribute to their communities. In the United States, we are dedicated to empowering youth to unlock their full potential and cultivate the leadership skills necessary to live purposeful and impactful lives. Through innovative programs like Kids4Kids, we provide mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for personal growth, enabling young people to discover their passions, develop their leadership abilities, and become agents of positive change within their communities. We believe in investing in the next generation, fostering a society where all young people have the opportunity to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
About This Cause
Imagine a world where the most vulnerable children are given a chance to thrive, and their mothers are empowered to build a brighter future. This is the reality the Caleb Foundation creates every day in Ethiopia. Our free daycare program is more than just a safe haven; it's a beacon of hope, a catalyst for transformation. From Monday to Friday, 70 to 100 precious children find a nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and simply be kids. We provide early education, nourishing meals, joyful exercise, and restful naps, laying a strong foundation for their future. But our impact extends beyond the children. By taking full responsibility for their care, we liberate 70 to 100 underprivileged mothers, granting them the opportunity to work and provide for their families with dignity. This dual approach tackles poverty at its roots, empowering both mothers and children to break free from its grip. We believe in holistic care. Twice a year, doctors visit our center, ensuring the children and their caregivers receive vital medical attention. And to further safeguard their well-being, we provide annual health insurance, ensuring access to essential medications and vaccinations. At the Caleb Foundation, we don't just provide daycare; we cultivate dreams, ignite potential, and build a community of resilience. Program in the USA: At the Caleb Foundation, we believe in the transformative power of youth, and our Kids4Kids (K4K) program is a testament to that belief. K4K empowers high school and university students to become agents of change, fostering a generation of compassionate leaders. We provide the tools, training, and mentorship they need to turn their passion into action, enabling them to support nonprofit organizations close to their hearts. In 2024 alone, nearly 100 young participants united, harnessing their creativity and drive to generate thousands of dollars for vital causes. This experience transcends mere fundraising; it's a journey of self-discovery, where young minds learn the profound joy of giving back. We believe that by nurturing gratitude and cultivating a spirit of service, we are shaping not only the future of these young leaders but also the future of our communities. K4K instills a sense of purpose, reminding them that even at a young age, they have the power to make a lasting impact, becoming the compassionate, civic-minded leaders our world needs. Since 2012, the Caleb Foundation has been a beacon of hope, transforming lives through essential Education, Medication, and Food programs. We've directly empowered 12,424 beneficiaries, creating ripples of change that have touched an estimated 45,000 individuals. Imagine the difference: 7,784 underprivileged students equipped with school materials, uniforms, and shoes, unlocking their potential. 1,319 families relieved of food insecurity, and 815 households shielded by vital annual health insurance. These aren't just numbers; they represent lives changed, futures secured, and hope restored. None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our generous donors.
