Mission Statement
The mission of NVSO is to provide skilled and aspiring musicians of all ages the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and perform exceptional orchestral music, fostering music appreciation and engagement among members of the North Valley community. Our vision is to be a vibrant and diverse community that deeply cares for the artistry, learning and performance of exceptional orchestral music.
About This Cause
North Valley Symphony Orchestra (NVSO) is a community orchestra based in the Phoenix North Valley. Our vision is to be a vibrant and diverse community that deeply cares for the artistry, learning and performance of exceptional orchestral music. Our programs consist of three youth ensembles and an adult orchestra. Our student musicians are placed in the orchestra appropriate to their skill level, then can advance through the other orchestras as they gain knowledge and experience. Our adult orchestra is comprised of members of the community who share a passion for learning and performing exceptional orchestral music. Our musicians include engineers, physicians, students, retirees, law enforcement personnel and people from all walks of life. The adult orchestra performs 4 concerts per year and we keep our ticket prices at a low $5.00 because we believe that classical music should be accessible and affordable for everyone. The youth ensembles have 2 major concerts per year which are free to the public. In addition both the youth and adult musicians may perform community outreach performances in settings from libraries and schools to charity fundraisers.
