The purpose of this organization includes providing support, in various forms, to military personnel, military families and veterans of military services.
About This Cause
The corporation is an all volunteer nonprofit and is organized under the nonprofit benefit corporation law for public and charitable purposes. There is no paid staff. The organization ships monthly care packages to deployed military personnel, sending more than 26,000 since 2003. Packing parties are held the third Thursday each month and the community gathers to assemble care packages. The packing parties are conducted in a commercial space that has been provided rent free for nearly 20 years. The group assists Gold Star families of fallen military personnel, distributes back to school supplies and Christmas items to military and veteran families, hosts welcome home receptions and offers outreach to military families and veterans.
