Mission Statement
The Mission of UWHR is to improve lives and advance the common good by connecting community resources with community needs. Our Vision is that Beadle and Kingsbury Counties will be thriving communitieswith opportunities for a better life for all. UW will advance the common good by focusing on the basic building blocks of Education, Income, Health. We will be a leader in bringing together partners to create lasting changes and be recognized as a trusted steward of our communities' contributions and resources and we will continue to measure, communicate, and learn from the impact of our work.
About This Cause
To conduct an annual campaign to continue to work on community issues that help us make our region a better place to live. We will help raise funds to provide programs and projects that enhance education, income and health. The annual fund campaign will be held in the fall of every year with a goal set in the spring after the grant applications have been reviewed and the funding needs determined by the UWHR board of directors. Organizations that receive funding for specific programs and projects must provide documentation of their standing with the IRS and must assist with the campaign. Our organization is a year round entity that serves as the volunteer coordinator for our region.
