BECCA Center offers a platform for improving the quality of life and contributes to the continuation of the Bosniak identity through various educational, religious, and cultural programs in an institutionalized approach.
About This Cause
BOSNIAN EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL CENTER OF AMERICA d/b/a BECCA CENTER (f/k/a ISLAMIC CULTURAL CENTER (BICC) WAS ORIGINALLY ORGANIZED AS A PLACE OF WORSHIP FOR BOSNIAN PEOPLE OF THE ISLAMIC FAITH. THE ORGANIZATION HAS SINCE EXPANDED ITS SERVICES TO OFFER OPPORTUNITIES FOR BOSNIAN COMMUNITY MEMBERS (PARTICULARLY YOUTH AND WOMEN) TO SOCIALIZE. BECCA aims to also educate their community, and in 2012, the Bosnian School was founded to teach children the Bosnian language, history, culture, and traditions.
