Mission Statement
It is our hope that we raise awareness of the fact that research has not yet found a complete cure for breast cancer. It is our mission not to just raise money for research but also help meet the needs of individuals who might neglect their care because they lack funds.
About This Cause
We are a group of retired women who raise money through various activities most of which include a live auction and silent auction. Those activities have been gambling nights, golf tournaments, fashion show luncheons and even a Derby party. We have very few expenses. We take no salaries. All items are donated from friends and local businesses for our auctions. All of our proceeds go the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation which allows us to direct the funds. Our supporters are mostly personal friends and relatives as well as a wonderful supportive community. Over the last 10 years we have raised more than $400,000!
