Our Mission: To give the gift of health and wellness to everyone. We focus on all round family health, with a special emphasis on women’s health, including cancer education, screening and treatment programs to the needy amongst us.
About This Cause
Sankara Healthcare Foundation is a US-based 501(c)(3) charity with the mission to give the gift of health and wellness to everyone, particularly the needy. We focus on all round family health, with a special emphasis on women’s health, including cancer education, screening and treatment programs to the needy amongst us. Other medical treatments we enable for the needy are free eye surgeries, free or subsidized heart surgeries, artificial limbs, diabetes camps, etc. Our secondary focus is to enable people to live disease free lives by emphasizing diet and nutrition through our Healthy Eating and Living (HEAL) program. Project HEAL is the vehicle for delivery of high quality plant-based nutritional assistance to homeless shelters and soup kitchens in the USA. Another important area of focus is providing support for special needs families. Special needs families, particularly from subcultures that are not mainstream, have a very tough time helping their child feel part of their subculture. Typical special needs education in the school system focuses on the child’s special educational needs, and not on their cultural needs. We endeavor to provide support through activities that are tailored to the needs of each child and their family. We believe that each child is unique and responds differently to activities. Our aim is to understand that each child is special, unique and tailor makes the activities that make them happy and enriched.
