Mission Statement
GIVE is an educational institute for spreading the knowledge based on Bhagavad Gita to bring peace & happiness in society. The purpose and mission of Gaurannga Institute for Vedic Education Corp. is to give the gift of transcendental education, Conduct classes or Seminars, and to promote, bring out, encourage, develop and fulfill the public charitable purposes like providing food, clothing, education, volunteer activities, and medical relief and to support other organizations with similar purpose both nationally and internationally.
About This Cause
Transcendental Education and Use of Social Media: Gaurannga Institute for Vedic Education provides education to enhance one's spiritual quotient which has a great impact on our overall performance which leads to a Holistic us, a prerequisite for complete success. This knowledge helps individual to reduce stress, tension, and helps one to rise above to lead successful and tension free life. This educational knowledge gives us inner strength which helps in times when we are physically, mentally, intellectually, or emotionally weak. We educate people on Ancient Yoga called Bhakti Yoga to stay active at all levels of life. Gaurannga Institute for Vedic Education through its Yoga teaching imparts meaning, knowledge, and purpose of Bhakti Yoga in one’s life. We take advantage of various social media outlets such as discussion forums, blogs, and social networking sites. The money collected from the paid classes help Gaurannga Institute to raise money for its activities. These classes are either held at open public place or at the rented place. We also take help of YouTube media to have these seminars available to people free of cost. Food and Cooking: GIVE actively schedules cooking sessions to the interested group of people. At GIVE, in the cooking activity we make it so much fun, easy, and more innovative. The goal of the cooking session is to educate the ancient Vedic cultural way of healthy cooking. Each and every recipe follows the strict Vedic vegetarian cooking. Volunteer Activities: On the approval of the board of directors, Gaurannga Institute for Vedic Education may provides internship or volunteer opportunities for involvement in outreach activities and programs in order to have greater impact for a change. The activities range from cooking, Bhakti yoga classes, arranging seminars, festival activities, cleaning activity, mentoring a high or middle school student, to community’s cultural art programs etc. Multimedia: To bring awareness from every medium possible, we document, take photos, and make videos of our activities, projects, program, and expeditions etc. By documenting and recording our efforts we intend to broaden our outreach. These multimedia features are recorded by our volunteers during aforementioned activities and will be available to the public at very reasonable price that include the cost to cover the expense of recording and DVDs/CDs etc. GIVE may also write these activities in the form of book and can distribute them directly or via book publisher or retailer. International or Foreign Activities: In general, our International or Foreign activities are summed up as expeditions, contributions and support, and educational programs. • Foreign expeditions will include our expeditions such as public events and festivals. • Foreign contributions and support will include assistance given to individuals or organizations outside of United States which have been selected by board of directors after conducting due diligence and thorough investigations. The process of selection is in accordance with all the public laws and regulations concerning our exempt status such as collecting information (i.e. physical address, phone number, Mailing and communication address, website, and relationship with other organizations, financial standing which includes past, present, and governance). • Foreign Educational Programs will include providing education to the interested individuals, or group of people. Financial Information: The source of Gaurannga Institute for Vedic Education Corporation’s income derives from personal resources and public donations. Additional income source will include grants, sponsorship, and fundraising, selling recorded lectures on DVDs/CDs directly or by third party websites e.g. Amazon Inc. or Barnes and Noble Inc, and selling books written under the guidance of Gaurannga Institute for Vedic Education directly or by third party websites or retailer. The corporation disposes its income through the decisions made by its board of directors or through the decisions of the duly elected treasurer, whose power to pay expenses is set out by the board or the corporation’s bylaws in accordance to the corporation’s purpose. Expenses paid by the corporation include, but are not limited to: equipment purchases and rentals, employee’s salary and boarding, insurance premiums, internet web site fees, publications, advertising, and miscellaneous board expenses.
