Mission Statement
Levitt Pavilion Denver is a non-profit established with the purpose of building community through music. Levitt Pavilion Denver believes in embracing the local, including the musicians, architects, construction company, staff, artists and sponsors. Levitt Pavilion Denver is more than just another music venue – it is a nexus for local non-profits and arts groups across the Rocky Mountain region.
About This Cause
Recently nominated by Pollstar as "Best New Venue," and recognized in Billboard Magazine as one of the "20 Freshest Venues in the Country," Levitt Pavilion Denver is the first and only free cultural venue in Denver. Offering 50 FREE concerts a year to the public, this invaluable asset to concertgoers and musicians alike, Levitt Pavilion Denver provides increased access to the arts. With the average cost of U.S. concert tickets skyrocketing to $87.51 in 2016 (according to Pollstar), the amphitheater will donate the equivalent of $32,861,250 of free music each year. In addition to offering free concerts to the citizens of Denver, Levitt Pavilion serves as a launching pad for local artists, exposing them to audience sizes eclipsing those of local bars and indoor venues. Emerging Colorado based musicians will be paid above current local scale and half of the concerts will be dedicated to those Colorado-based acts, with the rest featuring emerging national and international groups. Levitt Pavilion Denver works directly with area nonprofits including; Youth on Record, Denver Health, Love Hope Strength, Denver Library, The Southwest Denver Coalition, Denver Preschool Program, GRASP, and a host of others. Levitt Pavilion Denver offers free community booths to these organizations allowing them to engage our audience, pass out information and further spread their message. We attend the Southwest Denver coalition events, helping to plan, book entertainment and help them with their mission of bringing other area community groups together. Levitt Pavilion's 50 free shows are a catalyst and hub for all community efforts. By offering no economic barrier, the mission of community through music can spread that much further.
