Mission Statement
Puppy Jake Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping military veterans through the assistance of well bred, socialized and professionally trained service dogs.
About This Cause
Since 2013, more than 55 veterans have re-engaged with life after The Puppy Jake Foundation (PJF) paired them with a service dog to help overcome physical and emotional wounds sustained during active duty. Puppy Jake's two-year training program is accredited by Assistance Dogs International (ADI). With funding from individuals, business and foundations, Puppy Jake's expert trainers and amazing volunteers graduate 10-15 service dogs and skilled Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) annually. Each have individualized skills intentionally developed to share the weight of their partner’s challenges. We also build long-term connections with our service teams, offering ongoing engagement with peers and trainers. Thirty-three teams are currently active and working together to navigate the world daily.
