Mission Statement
Ensemble Mik Nawooj seeks to create new concert music and to educate inner city children and children of color the merit of pursuing music in their lives.
About This Cause
Ensemble Mik Nawooj aims to revolutionize the current performing arts field, which is largely built on the Western European aesthetic, and render an alternative vision that reflects the cultural landscape of the modern world by creating music from elements of Hip-Hop and other popular American music genres that are African American in origin, and by using classical techniques, making a fundamental fusion of the two.
