Roots Ethiopia partners with communities in Ethiopia to turn local ideas into lasting change. We work together to improve schools, educate children, enable livelihoods, include everyone and empower communities.
About This Cause
Roots Ethiopia believes in building a poverty-free world. Educating children, improving schools and creating jobs in Ethiopian communities help us move toward that global goal. Since 2012, we have worked primarily in rural Ethiopia, in densely populated areas prone to drought and hardship. Roots Ethiopia sets up rural schools for success with materials, special programming, and more! Roots Ethiopia also develops Self-Help Groups which create opportunities for financial security; provides sponsorships for low-income students; and works with communities to include underserved students in schools, especially girls and children with special needs.
