Mission Statement
To provide temporary lodging and support to military members, veterans, and their families when receiving treatment through a southern California Navy or Veterans Administration (VA) medical facility.
About This Cause
Incorporated in 2013, we are a public benefit nonprofit organization that raises funds to help support four Fisher Houses located at: VA Long Beach Medical Center; Camp Pendleton Navy Hospital; and Naval Medical Center San Diego (two houses at this location). We ensure that the houses have what they need for our veterans and military families who come to stay at the house, including comfortable, safe and secure accommodations, and food and transportation support. When a Fisher House is not available, we provide veterans and military families with temporary lodging in a hotel near the hospital, such as by the VA-Loma Linda and VA-San Diego where we currently have no Fisher Houses. We also support the construction of new Fisher Houses in southern California. Fisher House is a comfortable home for the family members of a veteran or service member to stay in while their loved one is receiving care at VA and military hospitals.
