Great Rides Fargo is a non-profit organization dedicated to building healthy individuals and communities by encouraging the use of bicycles for lifestyle, sport, and recreation.
About This Cause
Great Rides exists to help the community it loves to find and share it's bicycle lifestyle. We interacts with the community through events and programs, cycling-centered services and advocacy so more and more people to get rolling on their freedom machines. The most well known activities that Great Rides provides are the Great Riders Club, StreetsAlive and Great Rides Bike Share. Great Riders Club leads over 100 group rides for an array of riders. Families, fitness, women's only, and mountain biking. These rides build confidence, provide community and fitness opportunity for it's riders. Since 2010, StreetsAlive has invigorated the urban landscape by bringing a health-focused, open streets festival to downtown Fargo Moorhead. This event encourages all of us to play and engage in a more active lifestyle. By closing three miles of streets to vehicles and opening them to human-powered movement, participants experience their community in a new and active way. Great Rides Bike Share provide 100 bicycles as an active transportation option available for check out at 11 automated stations in downtown Fargo and on NDSU's campuses.
