Mission Statement
The Prospector is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing competitive and inclusive employment for people with disabilities through the operation of a first-run movie theater and online popcorn business.
About This Cause
All employees of the Prospector are known as Prospects and approximately 75% of Prospects identify with a disability. Prospects are empowered to live a higher quality of life through meaningful employment, encouraging them to sparkle, shine, and turn their passions into professions. The Prospector will increase awareness and understanding within the community by promoting greater tolerance, acceptance, and inclusion of adults with disabilities. Additionally, we will combat the disproportionate unemployment rate of people with disabilities, increasing economic security, happiness, and overall quality of life while delivering an exceptional moviegoing experience.
