Mission Statement
Inner Enlightenment Spiritist Society is a non-profit organization based in Manhattan with the mission to use Spiritism to comfort and enlighten people from all backgrounds while encouraging their inner transformation through charitable works for the community.
About This Cause
Inner Enlightenment Spiritist Society was founded in 2007 to disseminate the Spiritist ideas in the English language and to be a place for spiritual comfort, enlightenment, prayer, study and meditation open to all. The organizes aims to build a sense of community support and spiritual assistance for all people, free of charge. The organization hosts open study groups in the evenings and weekends at its rented location located in Midtown Manhattan, that are free of charge and interactive in its format. The study topics come from the Spiritist literature and include the works by Allan Kardec among other authors. The organization promotes charitable events and community engagement activities open to all volunteers who wish to assist patients in elderly care centers, veterans in Manhattan's VA Hospital and the homeless population. All directors, coordinators and practitioners are volunteers.
