About This Cause
The Longhorn Project (LHP) at Johnson Space Center, a 501(c) (3) charitable nonprofit organization, located on the premises of NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC), provides agricultural and STEM curriculum to students in grades 3 - 12. The LHP’s purposes are twofold: 1) To provide students with a unique educational experience that combines an agricultural and STEM curriculum with leadership and personal growth opportunities in a hands-on, working environment; and 2) To promote the preservation and legacy of the Texas registered Longhorn, the cattle native to the state of Texas.
