The Ventura County Library Foundation will enhance access to quality Ventura County Library System services, materials, and programming for children and adults across the county by securing funding and other resources from private and public donors through strategic partnerships and alliances.
About This Cause
The Ventura County Library Foundation (VCLF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing access to quality library services, materials, and programs for children and adults across Ventura County. By securing funding and resources from private and public donors, we support the Ventura County Library System in its mission to foster literacy, lifelong learning, and digital access for all. We strive to provide equitable access to information, technology, and educational opportunities, ensuring that everyone in our community regardless of background or income has the tools to succeed. Through strategic partnerships and community engagement, we empower individuals to explore, discover, and connect. VCLF provides critical funding for: Literacy and Lifelong Learning: Supporting early childhood literacy, adult education, and ESL programs. Early childhood reading programs to build strong literacy foundations. Adult literacy support, including ESL and GED preparation. Community reading initiatives that foster a love of books. STEM and Digital Literacy: Expanding science, technology, engineering, and math resources, as well as coding and robotics programs. Expanding access to STEAM education including coding and robotics. Digital literacy training to bridge the technology gap. Support for science and innovation programs. Technology and Digital Access: Enhancing public access to computers, internet services, and digital resources. Public computer, WI-FI hotspots and digital leaning tools, E-books, online data bases and research tools. Technology access for job seekers, students and families. Mobile Library Services and Outreach: Bringing books, technology, and learning opportunities to underserved and remote communities. Expanding bookmobiles and pop-up libraries. Reaching seniors. students, rural areas, and individuals wth limited mobility. You can help us make a difference!
