Mission Statement
Adopt a Pit Rescue is a foster home based pit bull / bully breed rescue in southern Ohio. We have approximately 120 dogs in over 80 foster homes. The majority of our dogs come from high kill shelters. They are quite literally on death row when we pull them into our rescue. Our dogs live in a foster home as part of a family until they find their forever home. We survive on donations to feed, vet and generally care for our dogs. Our fosters provide the love, we provide the rest. Thank you from the bottom of our dirty little paws for your donation. Every dollar you donate helps us feed and vet our dogs.
About This Cause
Adopt a Pit Rescue is a foster home based pit bull / bully breed rescue in southern Ohio. We have approximately 120 dogs in over 80 foster homes. The majority of our dogs come from kill shelters. They are quite literally on death row when we pull them into our rescue. Our dogs live in a foster home as part of a family until they find their forever home. Each of our dogs is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and microchipped before they are adopted out. If a dog has an illness or injury we treat it prior to adoption. We survive on donations to feed, vet and care for our dogs. Our fosters provide the love, we provide the rest including food, crate, leash, collar and all vetting. We go through approximately 2000 pounds of dog food each month and spend an average of $20,000 per month at the vet. Every dollar you donate helps us feed and vet our dogs. Since we started in 2013 we have adopted out over 5000 dogs.
