Mission Statement
The mission of the Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network is to connect, support, and provide accurate information for families with a Down syndrome diagnosis. Our vision is to ensure families have unbiased and factually accurate diagnosis experiences, every time, through which families quickly know they're not alone.
About This Cause
DSDN currently supports over 8000 families that have a child with Down syndrome, with an emphasis on the diagnosis and early childhood phase. DSDN provides online support through Facebook communities. DSDN also sends welcome gifts to new families, memorial gifts to families after a loss, and care packages to families who are experiencing an extended stay at a hospital. DSDN is holding its fifth annual Rockin' Mom Retreat where 800 moms of children with Down syndrome were able to connect, be inspired, and recharge, and complete service projects for local Down syndrome organizations. DSDN provides brochures and resources for new parents, local organizations, and medical providers with updated information on delivering a Down syndrome diagnosis.
