Mission Statement

We Design and Develop Online Data Management Systems to Empower Wildlife Professionals and Advance One Health

About This Cause

The Wild Neighbors Database Project is a US 501(c)3 non-profit organization which promotes international wildlife rehabilitation by developing online data management software and helping implement its use worldwide to gather and exchange wildlife data. We currently have four projects: WRMD: A Free online medical database designed by wildlife rehabilitators for wildlife rehabilitators to collect, manage and analyze their patient data. O-WRMD: In partnership with the Oiled Wildlife Care Network (OWCN) we developed O-WRMD (O for oiled). An Oil Spill Response Database for wildlife care. WildAlert: Using aggregate data from WRMD users, WildAlert identifies anomalies in the data and alerts agencies of potential wildlife health events in near-real time. Ceto: Ceto (/ˈsiːtoʊ/ or see-tow), is a centralized on-line tool for collecting and managing marine mammal health and stranding data. Ceto is named after the primordial sea goddess in Greek mythology.
