About This Cause
Education in America is battered with the fact that 7,000 students drop out of school every school day based on the Department of Education’s figures. Condoleezza Rice says we are in the middle of creating a two-class society: the educated and uneducated. Five Star Life is on a mission to change the face of education. Research shows that at the core of each person’s success or failure is a mindset. Research also shows that students drop out because they do not value education and ultimately do not value themselves. Five Star Life attacks this root issue by infusing our proprietary curriculum that teaches students how to develop successful mindsets which is the beginning of their transformation. By partnering with schools throughout the country, Five Star Life is changing the face of education by changing the mindsets of students and culture inside school buildings. Serving 14,000 students annually, we have helped as many as 80% of entire school populations raise their GPA or maintain a 3.0 or above. We have worked with schools that have decreased the number of discipline referrals by as much as 70%. Research shows that students who participate in Five Star Life see academic increases, better school attendance, and less behavioral issues. We accomplish this by providing schools with a variety of academic, leadership, and character programming that addresses the sources of negative mindsets. These programs include: Five Star Life’s proprietary Video Curriculum for Classrooms, the afterschool program throughout Indiana, Leadership Camps and Day Trips at Summit, Five Star Life’s 300-acre leadership training facility located in Union, Michigan, Teacher Trainings, and Five Star Life Sports.
