Vision: to create cultural harmony through musical exploration We are: Bold Multicultural Innovative Collaborative Inclusive The core strengths of Apollo Chamber Players include: • Engaging the global community of Houston with innovative, inclusive programming and music inspired by cultural, ethnic, and indigenous traditions. • Fostering cultural awareness, building bridges of civic engagement, and expanding a global audience of art and classical music lovers. • Creating multicultural new music and art through commissioning projects from distinguished and emerging artists of gender and ethnic diversity. • Incorporating programs and commissions in the curation of educational programs that will reach countless students and children of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds. • Discovering the synergy and connections between art forms and the world at-large. Apollo’s embodiment of equity is embedded in our mission to connect communities and cultures through globally inspired music and our core values of being Bold, Multicultural, Innovative, Collaborative, and Inclusive. Apollo reaches further into the community by partnering with schools and universities, at-risk youth centers, refugee and veterans service organizations, hospitals, airports, and public libraries, providing performances and educational programs that impact a wider, underserved audience.
