It is also an opportunity to explore the neuroscience of the brain and its relationship to education. At the same time, it is our way of opening the door to seeing how social-emotional learning, the acquisition of spiritual growth, compassion, and kindness can be modeled and taught as a skill. Forums happen monthly. https://charterforcompassion.org/programs/ednet-forum GLOBAL READ: Every month, the Charter hosts a global conversation with an author about one of their books. The lists are on our website so people can read the books in advance. https://charterforcompassion.org/programs/global-read GOLDEN RULE DAY: Celebrate the principle that started the Charter for Compassion, The Golden Rule: "Treat Others as you/they want to be treated." We have online activities on April 5 to celebrate this principle that can change the world if we all pay attention to it. https://charterforcompassion.org/programs/golden-rule-day GRASSROOTS WISDOM BOOK: The Grassroots Wisdom Book intends to create a written record, to collect and save individual and group responses to the needs that we see in right front of us. This is an opportunity to see how a small community in southwestern Ohio, in the USA, comes together and shares a weekly meal. Read their story in the Communities initiative Chapter. This same idea can be redesigned to take place in an apartment complex in Mumbai, India, or in a neighborhood in Cape Town, South Africa. It's a book full of inspiration and ideas to re-create them in your own communities. https://charterforcompassion.org/communities/grassroots-wisdom-book MAP OF CO-CREATORS: The Charter for Compassion offers all our compassionate friends the opportunity to become visible to other like-minded people. This will allow you to receive invitations for co-creations from other people who share your passion - where you live or from anywhere in the world. And it will allow you to reach out to others and invite them to co-create with you. https://charterforcompassion.org/communities/map-of-co-creators YOUTH COMPASSION COLLABORATIVE: o Online group for youth 14-34 (and the young at heart) to connect and practice compassion for self, others, and our planet. https://charterforcompassion.org/programs/compassion-rising
