About This Cause
Can’d Aid is nationally recognized as a game changer in how people build community. Fueled by people power, Can’d Aid rallies volunteers from all walks of life to build thriving communities. Through their unique + integrated approach, Can’d Aid distributes water during disasters, provides access and opportunities for underserved youth to experience music, arts, and the outdoors, and protects and restores the environment. As a result, deeper connections are made in the areas we serve, emphasizing an overall holistic approach to building thriving communities. After a decade of work, Can’d Aid has harnessed the power of thousands of volunteers to: ● Can and ship over 3.1 million cans of emergency water to areas in need following a disaster; ● Build & donate over 15,344 bikes and skateboards to provide healthy ways for kids to stay active and off their screens; ● Donate 3,335 new instruments and host over 65 workshops and virtual lessons for disadvantaged youth that have underfunded school music programs; ● Assemble over 7,571 art kits for youth in foster care to give children critical, creative outlets; ● Paint 6 murals to build community, strengthen the pride of place, and promote tourism in rural areas; ● Clean and restore over 100 waterways, ensuring healthy fish and riparian habitats for the next generation; ● Launch 109 recycling programs nationwide.
