Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, affirming place for LGBTQ young people to express and explore who they are through education, peer-support, advocacy, and friendship.
About This Cause
Our organization serves LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning) teens, young adults, and their allies. Our hope is to empower youth to build a future where ALL people are accepted and loved as they are. In this way, our youth may become successful and contributing members of the community. We provide weekly support groups for teens 12-18 years of age and our young adults from 18-22 years of age. We partner with our San Antonio Public Library and the Greater San Antonio Area YMCA for additional programming nights. We produce the largest South Texas LGBTQ Youth prom every year with over 200 youth in attendance. We provide a College program to help prepare the youth and families for life beyond High School. We provide bi-weekly parent group meetings to help provide support to all families going thru a transition period with their teens. Annually, we provide over $7,500 in college scholarships to youth and young adults continuing their education efforts. We host many events in and around the San Antonio and South Texas communities to help support and educate our community on LGBTQ sensitivities and allyship.
