Mission Statement
DWF is focused on serving those in need worldwide. We currently support hospitals, clinics and schools in the US, India, Sri Lanka, Fijiand Africa with immediate plans to expand into Mexico and South America. We also have several programs operating in the US working with the hungry and homeless.
About This Cause
Divine Will Foundation is a spiritually based organization founded on the principal "Love All-Serve All". We work with and for all religions, castes and creeds that are focused on helping those in need free of charge and from an open heart. For example, we are helping sponsor a school and hospital in Nigeria that is being run by a Catholic priest. We also are supporting schools and hospitals in India that provide all services absolutely free of charge (this is a general requirement for any org. we support.) Our educational programs have close to 5000 students from 6th standard through University and graduate work. We are also providing 'scholarships' which will allow elementay school children to attend school while helping their families with the funds these children might have earned by working in the field or in day labor. We also provide stipends to our studnets during their internship period and PG work so that their families are relieved of any burden of support. Our nutritional program is currently feeding 500,000/day and it is scaling up to over 1 million per day by end of 2022. Additionally we have developed a highly nutritious vitamin/mineral/protein supplement that is given freely to thousands of children, infants, and expectant/lactating mothers...again completely free of any cost. We have participated in opening 3 Paediatric Heart Hospitals and a general hospital in India along with hospitals in several other locals; all providing care completely free of cost. The ethos of the group can be seen in an exchange involving a DWF board member who was talking to the head of the hospitals. The secretary commented on how much work had been done in such a short time. The head of the project said that he sees it a different way. He commented "to me, it takes too long as I cannot see myself telling a mother holding her dying child that she will have to wait for help." As a note, the latest hospital came up in less than 3 months and has in the last 2 months delivered care to thousands including 53 open heart surgeries; again, completely free of cost. Our medical partners have done over 17,000 heart procedures and seen well over 100,000 patients. We have worked with tens of thousands of expectant mothers, infants and toddlers as well as the general population. We realize that this is a drop in the bucket but it is a start. Additionally, these doctors have gone to other countries (ie. Fiji, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Australia to provide free services and operations for those in need). AND we are participating in the development of the first of its kind in the world, completely free of cost medical college which will educated doctors, nurses and paramedics while also providing PG work in specialty fields. This is due to be completed end of 2022, beginning of 2023. We work with one at a time knowing that the services we support or provide make a huge difference to that individual, their family and their community. We also believe that by doing so we can be a model for others. Since there is nothing "special" about us, what we can do, they can do. Our educational work is based on character and values education that focuses not only on transmitting information but also on building character in the students. Currently in the US, we have started a program to end hunger and homelessness starting with serving homeless and hungry children and their families. We have opened a free clinic in Clarksdale Mississippi and are collaborating with an international group to build affordable housing in the US and other locals. We realize that all of this is a massive undertaking but it needs to begin somewhere-why not with each of us? We focus on directly feeding the hungry rather than having meetings or seminars as they won't fill a child's empty stomach. We also are planning to build an absolutely free of charge medical facility in Mississippi in the next few years. While finance is always an issue, we don't ask for money. We offer an opportunity to others to participate in this mission in whatever way they can. Making an extra sandwich for lunch and giving it to someone who is hungry, taking time to listen to one suffering or simply sharing a smile all are effective in helping others. If others are moved to participate by donating, we will make sure that their money is used in the best possible way.
