Mission Statement
We provide intelligent philanthropy on a neighborhood scale to those who need us. FAMA's mission is to grow stronger neighborhoods through the power of Kingdom Networking, Business Development, and Strategic Community Connections. WE SERVE AS ONE. Civic solutions require first-hand knowledge and proper context. FAMA has developed and trained pro bono service partners, both public and private organizations, for door-to-door deployment to address the felt needs of neighbors. This presence is practical and develops deep, meaningful relationships over time. This program also contributes significantly to the mental and physical morale of the neighborhood, allowing FAMA and its partners to provide targeted, useful services. An added benefit is the reduction in neighborhood tension and, in many cases, drastic reductions in the need for law enforcement intervention.
About This Cause
Many companies and organizations struggle with corporate identity as it pertains to generosity and philanthropy activity. Further, most groups ignore their need to impact their locale with meaningful service as a strategy. FAMA Connecting organizes information gathered from the Assessment teams and then strategically links Christian volunteers and professionals to the felt needs of neighbors. The results are amazing! FAMA works with you or your organization to create a volunteer profile. FAMA adds you and/or your organization to our database of volunteers. Once assessments are complete, FAMA will connect neighbors to volunteers. Volunteers are chosen and requested based on the volunteer profile information that we have on file. This data is measured regularly against all FAMA partners. Best practices are recognized every year, and stories of service are shared monthly through an e-magazine and social media posts. Faith Action Ministry Alliance is organized to engage the community systematically in order to affect enduring, positive social and spiritual change in the city one neighborhood at a time. As referrals from the Needs Assessment Team, The Neighborhood Alliance Program is the mobilization of "famateers" to the qualified project needs discovered throughout the neighborhood. The group activates home service projects for area residents on a regular basis, strategically targeted to block areas where FAMA has established, long-term relationships. As a faith-based organization, we strive to reflect the absolute best examples of service, love, and compassion possible in hopes that those we serve will follow Jesus. An added benefit is being able to apply our model to others seeking faith-based solutions for maximum impact.
