Prayvine provides free Web and mobile applications for anyone to receive encouragement, prayer, and support from trusted friends and family.
About This Cause
Prayvine's mission is to follow Jesus by building and giving away technology products that can help facilitate God's loving, redemptive, and transforming works in the world. Prayvine fulfills its mission by developing and operating software applications that offer anyone -- regardless of race, gender, orientation, disability, or religious beliefs -- a way to receive encouragement and support from their trusted friends and family. For example, someone suffering from a major illness or life crisis can use Prayvine to keep their friends and family updated on their physical and emotional condition, and to ask for support during their recovery. The friends and family can then respond as a community by providing real-time emotional care through written notes, spiritual care through prayer, and practical care through service. Other ways that we envision Prayvine being used - and are actively developing features to support include the following: • Addiction recovery groups: group members can use Prayvine to keep one another accountable and to encourage one another as they break harmful addictions together. • Humanitarian workers, programs, and ministries: personnel working on challenging poverty alleviation, health, or education outreach programs can better communicate and receive care from their friends and supporters.
