Mission Statement

The Oakland Avenue Artists Coalition's (OAAC) mission is to serve as a catalyst for the transformation of Oakland Avenue into the North End’s art corridor. The corridor will feature a public art park and continuous performing arts events at varying locations along the avenue. OAAC strives to engage and encourage neighborhood youth in positive self-expression through the arts and uplift and heal the community infrastructure of the North End neighborhood through artistic place-making. OAAC’s multi-generational leadership includes artists of multiple disciplines in the performing and visual arts.

About This Cause

We seek funding for art education for youth of all ages. Place-making projects in public spaces (gardens, parks and recreation centers). And exhibit and performance opportunities for emerging and established artists.
