Project Glimmer gives beautiful gifts at meaningful times like the holidays, graduation, birthdays and Mother's Day. Together, we bring joy, dignity and the knowledge that her community cares. A girl who believes in herself can change the world.
About This Cause
About Project Glimmer: Founded in 2010 by Bay Area venture capitalist, Sonja Hoel Perkins, Project Glimmer inspires at-risk girls and women to believe in themselves by letting them know their community cares. Project Glimmer gives beautiful gifts at meaningful times of the year like the holidays, graduation, birthdays and Mother's Day. Together we can bring joy, dignity and the knowledge that her community cares. A girl who believes in herself can change the world. Project Glimmer partners with many companies and individuals to fulfill our mission. For example, brands donate gift items, individuals host Glimmer Drives to collect gift items and companies foster a sense of community giving by helping us sort and gift wrap thousands of gifts at corporate volunteer events. Since 2010, Project Glimmer has given 350,000 gifts to at-risk teenage girls and women in need through more than 300 community organizations such as Girls Inc., Nurse Family Partnership, YWCA, Boys & Girls Clubs and many many more!
