Mission Statement
The mission of the San Diego Music Consortium is to promote and encourage music performance and education in the North San Diego area.
About This Cause
From a humble beginning of only 8 enthusiastic band members in the fall of 2000, we’ve now grown into a non-profit organization more than 65 musicians strong. We promote the life-long benefit of learning an instrument, and provide a venue for members to continue learning and growing as musicians. Our members come from a diverse group of “ages and stages” from high school students to retirees. Under the direction of Vince Hernandez, we enjoy playing everything from marches to ballads and pop tunes and giving back to the community through our annual concert series.
