Mission Statement
Mission: To enhance the lives of the severely wounded, ill and injured veterans we serve as well as their families through sports and activities that are rooted in fun, educational and empowering principles. Through our holistic programming we strive to give our veterans the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to properly reintegrate back into society and to live healthy and fulfilling lives. Philosophy: We strive to empower every veteran and family member to become productive citizens and leaders within our community. We give hope and provide opportunities for a brighter future.
About This Cause
Wounded Warrior Adaptive Sports, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax exempt military charity. We provide recreational opportunities for our severely wounded, ill and injured veterans and their families. We also offer Veteran Human Service programs and services for the military families we serve. Visit the American Warrior Foundation tab on our website to learn more about our outreach initiatives. Physical Health and Wellness- provide education and resources for the military community to live an active and healthy lifestyle. Adaptive Sports- sports played by veterans with disabilities including physical and intellectual. Many adaptive sports are derived from able bodied sports but modified to meet the needs of our disabled veterans. Some of our well known programs throughout the region are our Air Rifle and Archery programs. Family Meal Night- A dinner meal is provided to military veterans and their families free of charge once a month as our way of saying thank you for your service and alleviate the stress of meal preparation that many caregivers and military spouses of our nations heroes face on a daily basis. American Warrior Foundation is the Veteran Human Services component and trade name of Wounded Warrior Adaptive Sports, Inc. Through the generous support of donors and community partners like you we are able to serve our heroes with a holistic approach.
