Mission Statement

As an expression of God's love, our mission is to support and coordinate the work of our member food pantries so that the people in Oregon City and the surrounding communities do not go hungry.

About This Cause

Hope Pantries supports five food pantries in Oregon City, OR. The first is located at the Oregon City Church of the Nazarene on 7th and Taylor and is open Monday evenings. The second is at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church located on the corner of Warner-Milne Road and Linn Avenue and is open 1 to 4 pm Tuesdays. The third is at the United Methodist Church on South End Road and is open 1 to 4 pm on Wednesdays. The fourth is at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church on 4th and Washington and is open 4 to 5 pm on Thursdays. The fifth is at the First Baptist Church located on 9th and John Adams Street and is open 1 to 4 pm on Fridays. All of these pantries try to provide a 3- to 5-day supply of nutritious food to each client. Food available includes fresh and frozen meat and dairy, canned and boxed goods, fresh vegetables and fruits, bread and pastries. Each pantry is an agency of the Oregon Food Bank and receives USDA commodities to distribute to clients.
