Mission Statement
We work to promote a world free of age-related diseases by providing high-quality research news the public can trust, information policymakers, doctors, and advocates can rely upon to build longevity-promoting healthcare systems, and an ecosystem where investors and researchers can coordinate their efforts to bring aging under medical control and see long-term returns for themselves and all humankind.
About This Cause
LEAF/Lifespan.io is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in the US. Since we launched our research fundraising platform Lifespan.io in 2015, we have raised over $750,000 for important aging research and worked with institutions including Harvard Medical School and SENS Research Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of the community, the funds raised have supported nine studies, including topics such as mitochondrial repair, DNA damage, visual biomarkers of aging, and senescent cell clearance. We are facilitating scientific research by hosting our own annual conference Ending Age-Related Diseases that allows the researchers, investors, longevity biotech leaders, public health advocates and medical practitioners to meet and form new collaborations. We are educating and supporting the investment community by hosting closed pitch meetings where young longevity biotech companies present their projects, to accelerate human clinical trials of promising anti-age therapies. We are tirelessly working on educating the public about medical research on aging and promising interventions to extend the healthy period of life and postpone disease on our news outlet Lifespan.io. We strive to make high-impact collaborations with large-scale content creators on platforms like YouTube in order to inform and engage an ever-widening segment of the population on the topic of aging research and healthy longevity. Those efforts allowed us to reach over 14 million people worldwide with quality educational content focused on aging and longevity.
