Mission Statement
Cyversity is dedicated to increasing the presence of women, traditionally underrepresented minorites and veterans in the field of cybersecurity and the wider technology landscape.
About This Cause
Cyversity is a non-profit association that is dedicated to the academic and professional success of women and other minority cybersecurity students and professionals. Cyversity offers our members educational/technical scholarships, technical training, mentoring opportunities, professional development services and vast networking resources. Cyversity was launched in 2014 to help bridge the ‘great minority cybersecurity divide’ that results from the ongoing under-representation of minorities in the fast-growing field of cybersecurity. Cyversity will tackle this ‘divide’ with scholarship opportunities, technical training programs, innovative outreach, mentoring and networking programs targeting minority cybersecurity professionals worldwide and by promoting academic and technical excellence in our tradecraft. Our all-volunteer management team consists of a small Board of Directors, a larger Strategic Advisory Board and an Executive Staff of Chairpersons leading the various Cyversity programs including Membership, Fundraising, Member Programs, Events working closely with an Executive Director.
