Mission Statement
Ocean is an independent business accelerator that is uniquely faith-backed, focused on building into the founder. Our mission is to increase God’s presence in the marketplace by building into entrepreneurs. We accelerate entrepreneurs with knowledge, relationships, coaching and seed funding. Ocean is enhanced with a concurrent spiritual journey uniquely designed to develop the founder holistically setting them up for success in their personal life as well as their business.
About This Cause
The unique integration of proven start-up acceleration content and an examination of faith strongly appeals to start-ups from across the globe. Cincinnati is quickly becoming a premier location to build a business with low cost-of-living and access to a concentrated group of Fortune 100 companies. Just over half of our applicants come from outside Cincinnati with nearly one-third applying from outside the United States. 1. The second you walk into our doors we give you $50,000 in the form of a founder-friendly convertible note. 2. Across 3 cohorts we have graduated over 25 companies who have raised an aggregate $7M in follow-on capital. 3. Our program focuses on Value Proposition, Revenue Model and Investor Readiness. All Ocean mentors are well respected and highly influential in the Cincinnati community and willingly offer their guidance. 4. Cincinnati is home to 10 Fortune 500 company headquarters and includes well-established investment groups such as CincyTech and Queen City Angels. 5. As of July 2017, we have officially moved into a newly renovated 7,000 sq ft office space located in the heart of Cincinnati’s start-up ecosystem.
