Mission Statement
RHR seeks to foster the growth, self-determination, and self-reliance of Rochester’s refugee community by making them agents of their own advancement. It seeks to become a comprehensive community center providing a full range of services to its own community while also welcoming people from all cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
About This Cause
Refugees Helping Refugees serves refugees of all backgrounds in the greater Rochester NY metropolitan area. We offer comprehensive case management services, English language and health education, work readiness training, as well as programs for youth and seniors. We serve more than 250 refugees annually. We also engage the broader community with participation in forums, presentations, and exhibits, facilitating a deeper understanding of refugee experiences and challenges.
