Mission Statement
The mission of the National Society of Black Engineers is "to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community."
About This Cause
The National Society of Black Engineers Portland Professionals Chapter (NSBE PRO-PDX) is focused on expanding the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics pipeline from youth to professional for Black and underrepresented communities while applying the techniques and principles of STEM to the academic, professional, and community-based endeavors aimed toward the strengthening of those communities in the Portland Metroplex. Through scholarships, internship opportunities, professional development programming, networking events, and STEM initiatives, we support our community.
