Transforming the lives of youth through tennis
About This Cause
Life Serve Youth Foundation (LSYF) was created in 2015 to provide a transformative residential tennis camp for youth with limited resources. The founder, Adam Slone, was inspired to start LSYF because of his own experience as a child. Adam was born with a rare genetic disease. He experienced delayed physical development and as a result, he was much smaller than other kids his age and therefore, he was unable to play contact sports. At age 14, he discovered tennis and immediately fell in love with the sport. Adam learned a lot from his years of practice and the experience of winning and – perhaps more importantly – losing matches. He wanted to give others the same opportunity he had so he founded Life Serve Youth Foundation. The vision of Life Serve has remained consistent: provide children of limited financial resources with the opportunity to explore their passion for tennis and offer a pathway for personal growth.
