Mission Statement
Frosted Faces Foundation is an organization that advocates for senior animals. Through our programs our mission is to deliver quality veterinary care and the promise of family for senior animals whose love and lives are in jeopardy.
About This Cause
1. RESCUE: We typically rescue senior animals with no advocates slated for euthanasia in the shelter system. Our program is unique where the need is overwhelming and we strive to operate with the utmost integrity. We cover lifelong medical expenses and medication from the point of rescue, never euthanizing a pet for treatable health conditions or undesirable behavior. We place Frosted Faces with thoroughly screened families, providing free veterinary care through our onsite clinic and access to a support team for the remainder of the pets life. We offer progressive programs such as~ a. Molly & Me Project: Paid fosters for poorly socialized animals b. Frosted Flings: Two week foster commitments to enhance adoptability c. Volunteering: FFF volunteers are able to provide enriching experiences to our onsite dogs in a variety of ways, including taking them on Field Trips and special outings, attending our community hikes every Sunday, and spending one-on-one time with dogs at our facility. d. Community Engagement: FFF hosts Open House every Saturday and Sunday when the public is invited to visit and tour the facility. We also host microchip and vaccination clinics, provide free pet supplies, and function as a community hub for pet resources. 2. FROSTED FUNDING: Sometimes senior animals are abandoned in the shelter due to the high cost of care. We fund treatment plans for senior related and chronic conditions of senior animals from the public whose owners are experiencing financial hardship. On average, our Frosted Funding program contributes $10,000 per month to low-income families to support veterinary care and necessary pet supplies. 3. FINAL WISH PROGRAM: The Final Wish Program is in place to ensure the safety and long life of a pet when the owner passes away or can no longer live independently. When there are no other options, and one does not want to assign the pet the uncertain fate of being surrendered to the shelter, we commit to providing family and quality veterinary care for the pet's entire natural life. 4. SENIORS FOR SENIORS: Our Seniors for Seniors program aims to place Frosted Faces with people 65 + years old who would like the companionship of a senior animal. Meanwhile, our goal is to reduce or eliminate the common obstacles that prevent senior people from owning pets by covering medical expenses, assigning them a volunteer to help with transportation, and taking the senior animal back into our care if the senior person can no longer live independently. 5. FROSTED FRIENDS: Senior dogs end up in the shelter because they require additional specialized care and their families have temporary commitments away from home. Where other boarding facilities decline to watch senior dogs due to the increased challenges, we specialize in boarding senior animals who are paralyzed, incontinent, or need medications so that their parents can rejuvenate and get away without worrying about the quality of care. 6. REHOMING RESOURCES: For senior pets whose situation requires them to find a new home, we offer to courtesy list pets on our website and social media platforms. “Slider Policy” - If a senior pet has been courtesy listed for 3 months with no interest, FFF will interview the senior pet and family to discuss relinquishment to the organization regardless of the circumstances. Our motto is, “To love, is to act,” and Frosted Faces Foundation recruits, organizes, and supports the exceptional people who share our mission. Please visit our website to learn how you can put your love for senior animals into action whether it be providing a home, making a recurring donation as a monthly sponsoring Fan, or volunteering on-site to care for the Frosted Faces.
