Mission Statement
The Joseph D. Beyda Endowment Fund was launched by Joseph’s family in his memory as a means of supporting the organization through whatever challenges the future may bring. Joseph was known for his foresight, always worrying about the plight of the next generation and planning accordingly. The endowment fund provides SBH with the security of perpetuity and sustenance. Our endowment committee, comprised of members of our executive board as well as Joseph’s family, oversee the prudent investments and the disbursements of annual interest towards SBH operations. This fund enables community members to maintain their philanthropic interest and provide programs enriching Jewish life, strengthening the community and building a future for our children and grandchildren. It also provides a continuity of giving from one generation to another. Many of the community’s major donors have recognized the importance of the endowment fund and contribute accordingly. Joseph was a role model for giving and his legacy is guaranteed to continue through all the growth of this vital fund.
