About This Cause
Seed Consulting Group is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides pro bono consulting to influential organizations pioneering a healthier and more environmentally sustainable California. In 2014, we saw something that needed to happen. The nonprofit sectors of sustainability and public health are challenging environments to work in, often with monumental progress resting on the shoulders of a handful of dedicated people working day and night. At the same time, cities like Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and San Francisco are full of highly skilled, young professionals with a passion for impacting their communities that simply have no outlet to do so. Seed Consulting Group was founded in Los Angeles with the vision of connecting those young professionals with those non-profits, solving two problems at once. We provide skilled, pro bono consulting services to the sustainability leaders of today and at the same time, give young, rising professionals an experience and community that will help them become the environmentally conscious leaders of tomorrow. This is why our mission statement is 'Empowering Leaders to Build a Sustainable Future.' Since founding, we have seen explosive growth. The demand for the work we provide to non-profits is high, and the demand for the community we are building among young professionals is even higher. From an initial team of five working with the Sierra Club back in 2014, we now have chapters across four major cities, with over 400 members and alumni, 75 partners and clients, and plans for continued expansion.
