Mission Statement
HEART N HANDS, INC. is a nonprofit organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana focusing on heart health awareness, heart disease prevention & education for young girls ages 10-18 in our community. Heart N Hands is the only organization of its kind that specifically focusing on girls heart health. We encourage girls to "Love Their Hearts." Founded in September 2014, Heart N Hands mission is to create awareness of heart disease prevention, provide heart health education, and encourage healthy lifestyle choices for young girls and their families. We promote physical activities, heart healthy eating and heart healthy lifestyle resources.
About This Cause
HEART N HANDS, INC. goal is to achieve improved heart health and increased awareness in young girls with a concentration on heart disease prevention. Heart Disease is the No. 1 Killer of women and Heart N Hands works to raise awareness and educate. Heart N Hands is on a mission to raise awareness and educate girls about the No. 1 killer of women - Heart Disease! We strive to EMPOWER young girls and their families to "take their heart health in their hands" by providing heart related information, educational tools and support needed to maintain and sustain a heart healthy lifestyle. HEART N HANDS is focused on educating young girls in our community about heart health and heart disease prevention by: ~ Incorporating Physical Activity ~ Educating on Heart Healthy Food Options ~ Encouraging Healthy Lifestyle Choices We strive to motivate and empower young girls and their families to take their heart health in their hands by providing heart related information, educational tools and support needed to sustain a heart healthy lifestyle. Heart N Hands partners with Girl Scouts, Girls on the Run and various girl organizations that focus on girls health.
