Mission Statement
Breast and Body Health (B & B Health) is a non-profit organization that caters to the needs of cancer patients. Although the concentration is breast health, we desire to increase awareness in the community of all types of cancer. B&B Health combines several programs to promote education and continual support for breast cancer patients and survivors. The current geographical focus of B & B Health is the Panhandle of West Virginia, The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and the Frederick County Maryland area.
About This Cause
About Us Breast and Body Health, Inc., Is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Breast and Body Health and B&B’s Health Boutique’s founder is a 3x cancer survivor. Ms. Bell knows what goes into caring for cancer patients since she’s experienced it first-hand. B&B’s Health Boutique sells fine lingerie and body wear for all women body types including women that have had a mastectomy. Breast and Body Health, Inc. collaborates with B&B Health Boutique to bring comfort, care and services to cancer patients. B&B’s Health Boutique also provides cancer awareness, cancer prevention and education classes to youth 11-15 years of age and offer breast selfexam training and proper bra-fitting classes. By partnering with area schools, we hope to decrease cancer rates, detect cancer earlier, and improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families. The vision of the Breast and Body Education Program is to close existing gaps between the physicians and the patients. Through Breast and Body Health programs cancer and non-cancer patients will be furnished with information on reminders to get adequate check-ups, screenings and preventative health maintenance. Breast and Body Health will partner with local clinics, physician offices and community health centers to incorporate yearly postcards as a reminder to schedule screening.
