Mission Statement
Dachshund Rescue & Placement, Inc. takes in Dachshunds from shelters, families giving up their pets and dogs found as strays and attempts to find them new homes.
About This Cause
Dachsund Rescue & Placement, Inc. has been rescuing Dachshunds since 1998. The purpose is to find new homes for dogs who have become homeless through no fault of their own. The dogs brought into our care are vetted, spayed and neutered if not altered already, are updated on shots, given medical treatment if necessary, micro chipped and placed in foster homes until new permanent homes can be found that are good matches for the dogs. Our dogs are advertised on our website at www.doxykeeper.org, brought to adoption events whenever possible and taken out in public with harnesses advertising that the dogs are up for adoption. All donations go directly to the care of the dogs in our program, whether it's for medical care, dog food, transports, shelter fees, etc. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
