Mission Statement

The Association of Zambians in Atlanta, Inc. (AZA) is a not-for-profit, non-political, tax-exempt organization committed to addressing the educational, cultural, psychological, and social-economic needs of the Zambian population in the Atlanta metropolitan area and beyond. AZA also responds to the needs of other similarly situated groups who might seek its services. AZA endeavors to facilitate the overall adjustment, stability, growth and development of the populations it serves. AZA’s mission is charitable and educational per its tax-exemption status.

About This Cause

The Association of Zambians in Atlanta, Inc. (AZA) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization formed in 1997 to adhere to the following objectives: To promote and preserve the Zambian culture abroad and increase networking among Zambians in the Atlanta metropolitan area and the USA in general. To render help during times of need to Zambians especially members of the association and those affiliated with it. To work with other non-for-profit organizations in Atlanta in helping them achieve their goals and ambitions. To promote the youth and adults in advancing their careers by providing scholarships and career advice. To help the new Zambians who are relocating to Atlanta settle and provide them with immigration resources. To provide financial assistance and make charitable contributions to the homeless and underprivileged in our community here in Atlanta and Zambia. To work with the Zambian embassy in Washington, D.C. and help promote Zambia Tourism industry at different forums.
